MatheMAGICS© represents a powerful combination of teaching methods. It uses the best techniques available to explain each mathematical concept.

MatheMAGICS© is a strong alliance between Mortensen Math & Explanations Unlimited that uses a "hands-on" problem-solving approach to enable students to understand all concepts of math, from addition & subtraction to algebra & calculus.

We integrate this "hands-on" approach -- which uses manipulatives (small plastic shapes) & practice workbooks -- with the actual school curriculum, so that students not only excel at their math, but can demonstrate their knowledge in the manner which teachers expect.

Motensen Math was introduced into Montessori & traditional private schools over 18 years ago. Due to its success & popularity in the United States & Australia, Explanations Unlimited has been offering workshops, private instruction, & a variety of home-study kits to Canadian students since 1992.

In MatheMAGICS©, we can use these colour-coded manipulatives, for example, as terms in arithmetical or algebraic equations, & we use the same concept of an area of a rectangle. We simply relate the challenging math topics to a very logical "Over" & "Up" concept, enabling young learners to understand advanced math concepts very easily. Incredibly easy, visual, & amazing to learn!

For topics where Mortensen Math does not apply such as Circle Geometry, (since the manipulatives are rectangular), Explanations Unlimited's own methods, learning aids, & traditional teaching techniques thoroughly explain any math concept.
